Anyone in the World Can Own a U.S. Trademark

Any individual or company, regardless of where they are located, is eligible to apply for a U.S. trademark.

Individuals do not need to be U.S. citizens.

Companies do not need to be incorporated in the U.S. or have physical offices in the U.S.

You do not need a U.S. mailing address.

Are there restrictions for foreign companies and foreign citizens?

Foreign companies and foreign individuals are not able to register for an account with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

They are required to hire a licensed U.S. trademark attorney to represent them before the office in all filings.

What documents do foreign trademark owners need to present?

Outside of being required to hire a licensed U.S. attorney, the process for foreign applicants is the same for U.S. applicants.

We simply need payment for one of our trademark services to start. The we will need some information about your trademark, your mailing address (which can be anywhere in the world), and information about your products and services.
